Running in the Himalayas requires preparation. Weather conditions in the Nanda region can change quickly and runners must carry essential gear to ensure safety during the race.

Mandatory Gear for All Runners

All participants must carry the following items during the race. Race officials may conduct random gear checks at the start, during the race or at aid stations.

Why Gear is Important

The trails of the Nanda Sacred Trails pass through remote Himalayan terrain where weather conditions may change rapidly. Proper gear ensures that runners remain safe and prepared for cold temperatures, rain or strong winds at higher altitudes.

Participants who fail to carry mandatory gear may not be allowed to start or may be removed from the race for safety reasons.
