ABOUT THE SERIES

About DHARAK

Inspired by the Ridge. Built in the Mountains.

DHARAK is a structured mountain terrain race series shaped by the geography of ridges, valleys and Himalayan ecosystems.

DHARAK Mountain Ridge

The Meaning of DHARAK

The word Dhar means ridge — the defining spine of a mountain system. Ridges shape valleys. Valleys guide rivers. Rivers carve terrain.

DHARAK is inspired by this geography. Every chapter is built within mountain-influenced terrain systems rather than urban or artificially designed courses.

Why Mountain Terrain?

DHARAK events are not built for convenience. They are built for runners who understand adaptation, terrain awareness and self-reliance.

The Mountain Ethos

Running in mountain terrain requires a mindset that goes beyond pace and distance. The mountains reward awareness, patience and respect for changing conditions.

DHARAK encourages runners to approach mountain terrain with humility and discipline. Every ridge, valley and trail demands attention and adaptation.

In the mountains, terrain decides the rhythm.
The runner only adapts.

Structure & Governance

Mountain terrain demands responsibility. DHARAK operates under documented operational frameworks to ensure safety and clarity.

Governance is not an accessory. It is fundamental to mountain racing.

The Chapter Model

DHARAK operates through region-specific chapters. Each chapter reflects a distinct mountain terrain ecosystem.

Current chapters include:

While terrain differs, governance standards remain consistent across all chapters.

Vision

DHARAK is expanding across India’s mountain systems while maintaining strict terrain and safety standards.
